“The world famous Kool Lifestyle Photographer Dirk “The Pixeleye” Behlau and the acclaimed Pinstriper and Artist, Jesper Bram join forces on an astonishing adventure to make a documentary Film about the Kustom Kulture movement around the globe.”

Dirk and Jesper will spend a year going from California through Europe and end in Japan in search of the coolest Kustom Kulture people and events on the planet. Picking the brains of living legends, up and coming artists and builders within the culture.

The guys seek out some of the hottest Kustom Kulture spots and get some of the worlds best car and motorcycle builders, tattoo artists, pinstripers, custom painters and pin-up models to share their tricks and experience.

Who are these two morons?

Dirk Behlau, aka „The Pixeleye”, born in 1971, is an internationally acclaimed designer and photographer from Cologne/Germany. Since 1999, he has created individual high-class solutions for international customers in his design-studio „Pixeleye Interactive”. http://www.pixeleye.de

Dirk Behlau has previously directed the DVD “Drag Racing — Turtman Switzerland 2007″, as well as shot several trailers and teasers for the legendary finnish rockband Leningrad Cowboys and other bands.

Jesper Bram, born 1973 is a renowned Danish pinstriper and artist. He has a strong background in advertising and holds multiple awards and nominations in graphic design. As an entrepreneur, Jesper has been involved in several large scale international projects since the mid nineties.

Jesper has been into custom cars and motorcycles since childhood and has been drawing just as long. In 2009 he founded his automotive pinstriping and design studio J.Bram Kustom Graphics. http://www.pinstriping.dk

Check out the video “DRIFTING IN THE K.S.A”, where Vaughn Gittin Jr and his Monster Energy Falken Tire Ford Mustang use the Al Reem Circuit in Saudi Arabia as their personal playground.

From 2010 Formula Drift Champion, Vaughn Gittin Jr.: “Earlier this year, I had the pleasure to visit Riyadh in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia as a guest of Ford Middle East to perform in a demo as part of the Action Ha race weekend at of Al Reem Circuit. I didn’t know exactly what to expect heading to the Middle East, but I’m always down for new experiences and adventures. Once I arrived I was completely blown away by the love of motorsports, and even more specifically, the love for drifting by the locals. Everyone I met, from Princes, to other professional drivers, to swarms of fans, treated me with amazing hospitality and kindness. It was an incredible experience that I will never forget and I look forward to coming back to the K.S.A!

“After the event I stayed a couple days extra to film ‘Drifting in the K.S.A’. Thanks to the kindness of the entire Al Reem Circuit team, they let me get crazy throughout the entire motorsports complex. Nothing was off-limits and I had a blast linking one track to the next through the parking lots and garages and into storage areas basically doing whatever came to mind that would be fun and challenging. Aside from drifting the entire complex, one of my most memorable parts of the whole trip was after we finished shooting and we were hot, dusty, and dead-tired, we ended up putting on a impromptu drift-day with some of the locals that came to spectate the shoot. I was teaching them how to drift, change tires, different driving techniques, and they were so pumped up. While there were no pro’s to show us the ropes back in the day, it reminded me of when I first started; that smile that stays when you link your first drift and the genuine passion to get better and conquer the challenges. I had a blast hanging out and enjoying what drifting is all about!”

Die Marke Saleen am Ende ihrer Laufzeit

Leider, denn der Besitzer von Saleen – Revstone Industries – hat heute bekannt gegeben, dass die Marke Saleen Performance Vehicles als solches nicht mehr unter diesen Namen weiter geführt wird. Grund dafür sind die vielen Verwechslungen zwischen der neuen Marke SMS Supercars, welche von Steve Saleen vor einiger Zeit gegründet wurde und den Fahrzeugen der Firma Saleen. Revstone Industries will allerdings weiterhin ihre Ersatzteile unter dem Namen Saleen Speedlab vertreiben und auch für alle bisherig ausgelieferten Fahrzeuge die Garantien übernehmen. Unter welcher neuen Marke die getunten Mustangs in Zukunft vertrieben werden, ist bisher noch ungewiss, soll jedoch bald bekannt gegeben werden!

Nur ein kurzes Info, der Ford Mustang 302 Konfigurator ist heute online gegangen! Somit könnt ihr Euch euren eigenen Mustang zusammenstellen. Es wird den Boss 302 in zwei verschiedenen Paketen geben, eine Standard Variante und die Laguna Seca Version. Viel Spaß beim stöbern!

Den 2012 Ford Mustang Boss 302 kann man sich ja bereits online zusammenstellen und auch schon bestellen, wenn man die nötigen 40000 Dollar bereits hat. Ende letzten Jahres wurde der neu aufgelegte Boss 302 vorgestellt und die Fans waren begeistert, denn der 444 PS starke Mustang hat so einiges zu bieten. Jetzt hat er seine Qualitäten auf der Rennstrecke unter Beweis gestellt und das Ergebnis kann sich sehen lassen. In Laguna Seca erreichte Testfahrer Bomarito zweimal eine Runden Zeit von 1:40,4 und 1:40,2 Minuten! Zum Vergleich, ein 2009er BMW M3 erzielte 1:42,9 Minuten, der 2010 Shelby GT500 hatte eine Zeit von 1:44,3 Minuten und der aktuelle 2010 Audi R8 erreichte eine Bestzeit von 1:40,8 Minuten! Laut Ford wurde der Boss 302 sogar bereits unter 1:40 auf dem Kurs gefahren! Das Video seht ihr wie immer nach dem Klick.
