Das der Hemi Cuda nicht mehr auf die Stra&#223;e zur&#252;ckkehrt, damit wollen sich anscheinend einige nicht abfinden. Bereits <a href="http://www.musclecars.at/2007/11/05/hxc-cuda-custom-2009-dodge-challenger">vor einem Jahr</a> hat der Tuner <a href="http://www.hxcperformance.com/">HXC Performance</a> das Cuda Paket f&#252;r den neuen Dodge Challenger <a href="http://www.musclecars.at/2007/11/05/hxc-cuda-custom-2009-dodge-challenger">angek&#252;ndigt</a>. Nun ist es soweit und der erste Prototype wird zusammengebastelt. Man arbeitet derzeit fieberhaft um das optimale Design zu finden, damit der Challenger nachher als nagelneuer Plymouth Cuda dasteht. Viele Fans werden behaupten das der 1971 Cuda der beste Cuda aller Zeiten war und auch HXC bauen auf diesem auf. Gut zu sehen am bereits verbauten Frontgrill, welcher in der Art nur 1971 verbaut wurde. Als Motor wird der HEMI V8 aus dem R/T Modell hergenommen welcher mit ein paar Extras bis zu 475 PS leisten soll.<br />

Nachdem John Herlitz im Jahre 2001 in den Ruhestand ging, sagte Tom Gale, Vize Pr&#228;sident von der Chrysler Produkt Entwicklung, &#8220;John Herlitz has made a tremendous contribution to DaimlerChrysler, and we will miss him personally and professionally. John&#8217;s design signature has been seen on Chrysler branded vehicles from 1968. He has a true passion for cars and vehicle design that is unparalleled in the industry.&#8221;<br />

Leider war dies kein offizieller Cuda sondern ein privater Umbau, <a href="http://www.musclecars.at/2007/11/05/barracuda-concept-video">wie berichtet</a>. Da Chrysler es derzeit wohl nicht vor hat und auch das Geld f&#252;r soetwas nicht da sein wird, hat sich ein Designer aus Sao Paulo in Brazilien, Rafael Reston selbst heran gemacht und einen f&#252;r sich optimalen Cuda gebastelt, so wie er ihn sich vorstellen k&#246;nnte. Es ist auf jeden Fall eine nette Idee den Cuda wieder zum &#8220;Leben&#8221; zu erwecken, nachdem Challenger und Camaro kommen und Ford mit dem Mustang ja einen guten Erfolg verzeichnete. Mir pers&#246;nlich liegt die Interpretation von Rafael leider nicht so sehr, zu bullig, zu fetter Grill, zu dickes Heck. Alles in allem jedoch ein sehr sch&#246;nes Concept.
